Playing tweaked versions of their original tunes and escorted by a naughty (and sometimes seminude) flag team, the Extra
Action Marching Band leads the hedonistic throngs, Pied Piper style,
through Critical Demonstraions, San Francisco's Pride Parade, block
parties, and war protests. They've performed with David Byrne (invited
after they crashed one of his book signings), and a recent tour saw
them pairing with Extreeme Elvis to play Black Sabbath covers. Around
40 performers are associated with the troupe, giving then a thunderous
percussion section that dares you to not shake your moneymaker.
